Our Functional Breathwork coaching is available for adults and children from five years old. It is designed to build strong foundations in functional breathing and functional movement.
Introduction to Functional Breathwork
Functional breathwork is a gentle, science-based method designed to improve how we breathe by encouraging calm, controlled nasal breathing. This technique helps reduce over-breathing and supports better oxygen delivery throughout the body. It is commonly used to support conditions such as asthma, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and breathing pattern disorders. By improving breathing efficiency and building tolerance to carbon dioxide, functional breathing can help promote a sense of inner calm, enhance energy levels, and support overall wellbeing.
Our breathwork coaching highly complements our Myofunctional Therapy services, working together to promote healthy, functional breathing and orofacial development. Through this, we emphasise the restoration of nasal breathing, a core goal of Myofunctional Therapy.
We offer a course of four 30-minute, 1:1 breathwork and gentle movement sessions with our certified instructor Victoria. Using science-backed methods that blend functional breathing, mindful movement, and guided awareness, these highly personalised sessions will leave you with practical tools to immediately integrate into your day. Our Functional Breathwork coaching is designated at a Beginner level to ensure it is accessible for all.
Breathwork Coaching for Adults – £300
These dedicated sessions are crafted to meet you where you are — whether you’re navigating workplace stress, feeling physically depleted, or simply seeking more ease and control in your daily life. Our breathwork sessions are offered online, enabling participants to join from the comfort of their own home. The session is tailored specifically to you, combining years of clinical and movement-based training to deliver:
- Deep personalisation
- Real-time feedback
- Effective, functional tools
- A reset that brings immediate value to your body and mind
Ahead of the first session, you’ll complete a breathwork assessment. This informs the development of breathwork and movement strategies that are tailored to your goals and symptoms, arming you with tools to return to again and again.
For adults, each week provides a different focus, underpinned by a series of exercises that engage your mind and body to achieve the session outcome:
- Awareness & Assessment – Learning the basics of nasal breathing and the right postural habits, and how to spot stress patterns in your breath and body.
- Control & Stability – Building breath control and core strength with movement drills and CO₂ tolerance techniques.
- Regulation & Flow – Using breath and gentle movement to calm the nervous system and find your rhythm.
- Integration & Confidence – Bringing it all together with self-led practice and reflection to build a routine that works for you.
Please note the focus of each session may be adapted to best support your individual needs and progress.
In each session, you’ll be given specific exercises to practise, with guidance on how to perform them correctly. Participants are encouraged to practise exercises between sessions for a minimum of 10 minutes per day to support their functional development. Our instructor will be available to provide any support via email should you have any questions outside of the sessions.
As the course continues, we aim to build awareness, skills and confidence in linking breathwork to movement. At the end of the course, we’ll hold a review to reflect on your progress compared to the baseline recorded in your initial session.
