Melissa Sutton

Speech and Language Therapist (SALT), Myofunctional Therapist (OMT)

Professional Background

Melissa qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2011 and has worked abroad in Bangkok, Thailand as well as here in the UK. She has worked in both mainstream schools and special schools with children from 2-19 years of age presenting with various diagnoses and varying communication difficulties. Since having children she has moved into independent practice. Within her role as a Speech and Language Therapist, she has a particular interest in parent/adult-child interaction.
Her interest in the importance of nasal breathing and subsequently Myofunctional Therapy was initially sparked by her eldest daughter, and wanting to support her in the best way possible.  She then completed a Functional Breathing Course with Oxygen Advantage, and more recently has trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy with the AOMT.
